We’ve been running Varuna Road Lines out of this office in Paschim Vihar for quite some time now. Avinash Kumar is usually the one you’ll find sitting at the main desk, surrounded by stacks of transport receipts and old ledgers. It’s not a very big space here at Bg-6/205C, but it gets the job done for what we need. Dealing with trucks and drivers every day is a lot of work, and things can get pretty hectic when a shipment is delayed or a driver calls in with a flat tire somewhere on the highway. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, trying to track where everything is. The office itself is pretty simple, just a few chairs and a cooling fan that makes a bit of noise in the summer heat. We aren't trying to be one of those massive corporate entities with shiny lobbies. We just handle the loads and make sure the paperwork is mostly in order before the day ends. Sometimes the tea guy from around the corner forgets our order, but that’s just how it goes in this part of Delhi. Most of our neighbors are regular families, so we try to keep the noise down when we are loading or unloading small bits of gear. It’s just a normal business trying to keep things moving on the road without too much fuss or extra trouble for anyone involved. We have been in this spot for years.
