Val International

Our spot is Room No 405 in the Lal Shingh Building. It is located in Mahipal Pur, New Delhi. This area is always buzzing with energy because it is so close to the airport. You can hear the planes taking off all the time if the window is open. Val International is just one of many small businesses located in this old building. The elevator does not always work the way it should, so we end up taking the stairs to the fourth floor quite often. The room we have is small but it has everything we need to get through the day. There are some old maps on the wall and a lot of folders stacked up on the floor because we ran out of shelf space. It is a bit of a climb to get up here, but the view of the busy street below is okay. Mahipal Pur is a chaotic place with lots of hotels and travelers coming through at all hours. We mostly just stick to our room and do our work. It is not a quiet place by any means. The traffic outside is constant and the horns never seem to stop. We have a couple of old desks and some basic computers that we use. Sometimes we share snacks when someone brings something from home in the morning. It is a simple way of working. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to open the door.
