V I P Sales (India)

We’ve been here on Shivaji Street for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us handling the stock and making sure things get where they need to go. Being in Karol Bagh means there is always noise outside, especially on Hardhyan Singh Road where our door is at 991. It gets pretty crowded around lunch. We usually spend the morning checking what came in the day before and then the rest of the day is just dealing with people who walk in. Some days are slower than others. We don’t really do anything fancy here, just basic sales work and keeping the shelves filled. The fan in the back makes a bit of a rattling noise but you get used to it. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact spot because the lane is narrow. We just step out and wave them down. It’s not a big corporate office or anything like that, just a regular workplace with desks and boxes. We keep track of everything in some old ledgers and a computer that takes a minute to start up. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sitting near the entrance or moving stuff around in the back. It’s a lot of manual work but it keeps us busy. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how things run. That’s pretty much the daily life for us here in this part of Delhi. We close the shutters around eight and head home like everyone else.
