We are situated in Okhla Industrial Estate Phase II, over at S1510. Since this is an industrial area, most of our day is spent dealing with the people who work in the factories and offices around here. It is a different kind of vibe than a residential market. Mornings are quiet until the shifts start, and then lunch hour is a complete mess of people needing recharges or new sim cards for their phones. The dust from the construction nearby gets into everything, so we are constantly wiping down the glass counters to keep them clean. Usha Telecom has been here for years, and we have seen many other shops come and go. We just stay in our spot. It is a simple setup with a few chairs for people to wait while we look at their phones. Sometimes the tea guy from the corner brings us a glass and we talk about how the business is going. It is honest work. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just making sure workers can call home. The lights in the back flicker sometimes, and the fan makes a weird noise, but it works fine for us. We stay open late because people finish their shifts at different times and might need something before they head to the train station. It is a busy, gritty part of town, and we are just another part of the scenery at S1510. Just a regular telecom shop doing its thing.
