Down here in Goa, things move at a different pace than they do in the big cities. Up Hotels Clarks Limited is tucked away in the R.G.Bc. area. It’s not always easy to find if you aren't looking for it, but we like it that way. The salt air usually gets into everything after a while. You get used to the humidity. We spend a lot of time just making sure everything is running okay. It’s a lot of work keeping a place going in this climate. The monsoon season is particularly heavy, and we spend a lot of time just watching the rain come down on the roof. People think it’s all holidays here but for us it’s just work. We see travelers coming through and locals stopping by. There’s always something to fix or a room that needs looking at. We don't have a big corporate team, just us. It’s a bit of a drive to get to the main markets from here but it’s peaceful most nights. We just try to keep things simple. The name Up Hotels Clarks Limited is on the paperwork but mostly we’re just the people you see when you walk in. Goa is a beautiful place to be based, even if it’s a bit chaotic sometimes. We just take it one day at a time. The garden needs constant weeding because things grow so fast here. It's just part of the routine.
