Our office is located in Uttar Pradesh, right in Neelam Dubey Bad. It is a fairly quiet area compared to the big cities, but there is always plenty of work to do. Being part of an organization like this means we spend a lot of time out of the office, visiting different sites and checking on things. Inside, the space is mostly just desks, a few old filing cabinets, and people typing away on laptops. We do not have any fancy decorations on the walls here. It is mostly just maps and some schedules pinned up with tape. Dealing with the work here in India takes some patience because things do not always move as fast as we would like. There is a lot of reporting involved and making sure every single detail is accounted for. We see a lot of people coming through the doors with different needs or just looking for some information. It is a bit dusty outside sometimes, and the electricity can be a little flickery when the weather gets bad in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing for the kids and families around this part of the country. The road leading up to the office can be a bit bumpy, especially after it rains. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks when it is on the highest setting. Most of us bring our lunch from home and eat together in the small back room when there is a break.
