Trident Hilton (Oberoi)

You can find us over in Udyog Vihar Phase-5 in Gurgaon. Most people around here just call us the Trident Hilton, and we’ve been part of the landscape for a long time. Being located in such a heavy industrial and office area means we get a lot of people coming through for work reasons. The hotel is quite large, so there is always something going on, whether it’s someone checking in at the front desk or the kitchen staff rushing to get orders out. It’s not the quietest place because of the traffic on the main roads nearby, but we try to keep things steady inside. We have a lot of rooms to look after, which keeps the cleaning staff busy from morning until night. There are some nice garden areas where you can sit if you need a break from the busy atmosphere of Phase-5. The building has a lot of glass and stone, but it’s really just a functional space for travelers to get some rest. We don’t really do anything flashy; we just focus on making sure the beds are made and the food is hot. Some days are more hectic than others, especially when the local offices have big meetings and everyone arrives at once. We just take it one guest at a time and try to keep the lobby from getting too cluttered. It's a big operation, but we're just regular people working here.
