Our little spot is at B-7/16 in Krishna Nagar, Delhi-51. It’s not a big corporate office, just a small place where Shraddha Singh and the rest of us handle travel bookings. Krishna Nagar is a very crowded residential and commercial mix, so there is always someone walking past the door or a scooter honking outside. We spend the day looking at flight prices and trying to figure out the cheapest routes for people who want to visit their families or go on a holiday. The walls are covered with a few old calendars and some notes scribbled on pieces of paper. It’s a very informal environment. We often have customers sitting with us, drinking tea and talking about their plans for an hour before they actually book anything. That’s just how things work here. We don't use fancy software, just the standard tools and a lot of patience. Sometimes the printer runs out of ink right when we need to give someone their ticket, and one of us has to run to the shop at the corner. It’s a bit chaotic but in a way that feels comfortable. We know most of the people who come in because they live in the nearby blocks. It’s just a neighborhood travel desk where we try to be helpful without making things complicated. We’ve been at this Krishna Nagar address for quite some time now and we aren't planning to go anywhere else soon.
