We are based at 80/16 Malviya Nagar, right across from the Mother Dairy in New Delhi. It is a busy spot and people often use the dairy as a landmark when they are looking for our office. The space itself is not very large, but we have enough room for a few desks and a place for people to sit down while we talk about their travel plans. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at computer screens all day. New Delhi can be quite loud and dusty outside, so we keep the windows shut most of the time to keep the noise out. It’s just a small team of us here. We handle things like flight bookings and hotel stays. Sometimes the printer runs out of ink right when we need to hand someone a ticket, which is always a bit of a hassle to deal with. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a regular workspace where we get things done. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep all the paperwork organized in our folders. Sometimes the internet slows down and we just have to sit and wait it out. It is a job that involves a lot of typing and checking dates over and over again. We see a lot of people from around the neighborhood who just drop in to ask questions. It’s a simple way of working.
