Travel Port, Gurgaon

We have been running Travel Port out of this spot in the Loco Railway Colony for a while now. It is right at 138 H in Kishan Ganj. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty busy with the trains and everything. Most days it’s just us sitting here with a few phones and a bunch of ledgers. We handle travel stuff, mostly booking things and trying to sort out schedules for people who need to get from one place to another. It isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just some old desks and a fan that makes too much noise in the summer. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait a bit, but we get the work done eventually. Most of our neighbors are railway workers or families who have lived here forever. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the files stacked up, but we know where everything is. People stop by to ask about ticket prices or just to complain about the heat. We don’t spend much on decorating because we are usually too busy on the phone. It’s a simple setup. We started this because we knew the area well and saw people needed help with their travel plans. There’s always someone coming in with a complicated route they want to take. We just sit down, look at the options, and see what fits. It’s just regular work for us, day in and day out.
