We are located right in the middle of Shakarpur, which is always a bit chaotic if you’ve ever been to Laxmi Nagar in New Delhi. Our office is at S 32, and it’s usually piled high with papers and old folders. I work here with Vidyabhuhan Maurya and a few others. Most days are spent on the phone or trying to figure out train schedules and flights for people who walk in off the street. Laxmi Nagar is a busy place, so there’s always noise coming from outside, people shouting and cars honking. We have a couple of desks pushed together and some old chairs for when customers come to sit down and talk about where they want to go. It gets quite crowded in here during the peak seasons, and sometimes the air conditioning doesn't quite keep up with the Delhi heat. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just a few maps and maybe a calendar that’s a month behind. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with the bookings. Sometimes a client calls late at night because they missed a bus or the hotel is full, and we have to fix it from home. It’s just the way the travel business works, I guess. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and most of the locals know where to find us when they need to get out of the city for a bit. It’s a messy office but the work gets done eventually.
