Up here in Shimla, you’ll find us at numbers 80 and 81 in the Lower Bazar. It’s right in the heart of the market, so it’s always busy with people shopping for groceries or clothes. Being in Himachal Pradesh means the air is a bit cooler, but the stairs up to the office still make you huff and puff. We’ve got a view of the street from the window, and it’s always interesting to watch the tourists and locals mix. Our office isn't anything special to look at. We have some computers, a couple of old wooden desks, and a lot of paper. We spend our time booking trips and talking to hotels on the phone. Lower Bazar is a narrow place, so we don’t have much room, but we make it work. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows each other. We might step out for a tea and end up talking to the neighbor for ten minutes. It’s not like a big city office where nobody speaks. We’re just a small team trying to keep things moving. The internet can be slow when the weather gets bad, but we just wait it out. It’s a simple life working here in the hills. We focus on the daily tasks and try to stay on top of the bookings. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in this mountain town.
