We have been working out of Flat No. 405 in Pocket-16 for a good while now. Sector-3 in Dwarka is where we spend most of our time, and if you know this part of New Delhi, you know it stays pretty busy. The office isn’t much to look at, just a regular place where we keep the computers and files for Transport Corporation Of India Ltd. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers or trying to figure out where a certain shipment has gotten to. It can be a bit of a headache when the traffic gets bad, which is basically every day around here. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just show up, try to keep the logs straight, and hope the trucks arrive on time. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it’s strangely quiet. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea, and that’s usually where we end up venting about the day's delays. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. Being based in Dwarka helps because we are close to some of the main routes. We don't really do the whole corporate polished thing here. It’s more about just getting the work done and heading home to our families after the shift is over. You won't find any slogans on our walls, just maps and calendars that have seen better days. It's just a regular local business setup.
