Transport Corporation Of India Limited

We are located at 47B in Jia Sarai, right near the IIT area in Hauz Khas. It's a crowded little corner of Delhi, but it’s very lively and full of energy. Transport Corporation of India Limited has this branch here because so much happens in this part of town. The office is tucked away, and you have to look closely to see the sign above the door. Inside, it's mostly stacks of papers and old ledgers. We handle a lot of the transport logistics from this desk every day. Hauz Khas is always buzzing with students and people working, so there's never a quiet moment outside. Our room is small and gets a bit dusty with the windows open to the street. We have a couple of old fans that rattle a bit when they're on. It’s a very basic setup. People come in to check on their shipments or drop off documents for the trucks. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and warehouse people across the country. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure things move from one place to another. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Whoever is free just answers the door. It’s a practical way to run things. The tea here is good, and we usually get some from the shop downstairs twice a day. It's a tough job sometimes, but we like being here.
