Transport Cooridinator

I am the Transport Coordinator working out of office D-17 in the N A A Colony. We are situated right by the Palam Airport, very close to the Mehram Nagar area in New Delhi. The pincode here is 110037. Being this close to the airport runway means we hear the sound of planes taking off and landing all day and night. Our primary job is coordinating transport, which mostly involves making sure vehicles and drivers are exactly where they should be at the right time. Delhi traffic is a huge part of our daily lives and often causes us a lot of headaches. The office itself is a simple room with a few charts and a big whiteboard where we mark down the arrivals and departures. Since we are near Mehram Nagar, it’s a very busy little pocket of the city. In the N A A Colony, we stay focused on the logistics. This is not a fancy or glamorous job. Most of the time is spent waiting for drivers to check in on the radio or phone. To keep comfortable, we have a small water cooler and some old chairs for when we need a break. It’s just a very practical and functional environment. There is no marketing or sales talk here because we do not need it; we just have to move people and things from point A to point B. Dealing with the intense heat of Delhi summers and the dust from the airport roads is just part of the routine.
