Trans India Holidays

We’ve been sitting here at 739 Saraswati Puram for quite a while now. It is right in the New Campus area of JNU here in New Delhi. Most days start with the sound of tea being poured and someone complaining about the traffic near the gate. We handle a lot of travel stuff for folks. Some days it is just constant phone calls and people asking about train timings or flight prices to places we’ve barely heard of ourselves. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and some old maps on the wall that probably need replacing. We try to get things right, but sometimes the systems are slow or the internet goes out because of the weather. Living and working near the university campus means we see a lot of students and professors passing by. It gives the place a certain feel, you know? It’s not like those big corporate offices in Gurgaon with glass walls. We just do our work, talk to the people who walk in, and hope the day goes smoothly. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need to hand over a ticket. That’s just how it is. We know the area well and have been around long enough that the local shopkeepers know our names. It's a simple life running a travel place in this part of Delhi, keeping track of bookings and making sure people actually get where they need to go without too much fuss. We mostly deal with tours and local trips.
