Trainee

Our business, Trainee, is located in Village Khlout, which is near the Sathwin post office in the Barsar tehsil of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. S.P. Rana’s son is the one you’ll usually find here. It’s a very quiet place, far away from the rush of the big cities like Delhi or Chandigarh. The office is basically just a part of the family home. We have a couple of chairs, a desk, and a computer that we use when the power is actually on. In the winter, it gets quite cold, so we usually have a small heater running or we just wear extra sweaters. The view from the window is mostly hills and trees, which is much better than looking at a brick wall. We don't have many visitors, but when someone does come by, we always offer them some tea. Most of our work is done through the local post office or over the phone. Life in Hamirpur moves at its own pace, and we don't try to rush things. We handle the paperwork and the daily tasks as they come. It’s a very simple setup with no corporate fluff or polished meetings. We just do what needs to be done to keep things running. Sometimes the roads get blocked during the heavy rains, and we just have to wait it out. It’s an imperfect way of working, but it’s our way. We are happy staying here in the village and doing our thing.
