Tivoli Grand

You will find us at 1/24 Dakshinpuri in the Madangir area of New Delhi. It is a very crowded part of the city and there is always something going on in the streets. Tivoli Grand is right in the thick of it. The traffic is usually quite heavy and there are vendors everywhere selling vegetables or snacks. Our building is a bit of a landmark for the locals who live around here. We spend our mornings checking the supplies and making sure the floors are swept. It is a lot of physical work and the staff is always on their feet moving things around. There is a lot of noise from the market nearby, so you never really get a moment of silence during the day. We have become used to the constant honking and the shouting of the street sellers. The building has seen many years and we do our best to keep it in good shape, painting walls when they look dull or fixing the plumbing. It is a practical place where people come for their own reasons and we just try to stay out of the way and let them do what they need. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do because the work speaks for itself. At night, when the market closes, it finally gets a bit quiet and we can relax.
