Thrifty Car Rental

Running a car rental place here in New Delhi is always interesting. You never know who is going to walk in or what kind of trip they have planned. We go by Thrifty Car Rental, and we’ve been operating in the city for a good bit of time. The cars are parked out back and we spend a lot of our morning just checking the tires and making sure the interiors are clean for the next person. New Delhi traffic is no joke, so we spend a lot of time giving directions to people who aren't from around here. It gets dusty in the summer, so washing the fleet is a never-ending job. We aren't a massive operation with a glass skyscraper; we just have a desk and our keys. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to write everything out on paper, which is a bit of a headache but we manage. People usually want something reliable that won't break down in the middle of a busy intersection. We just try to provide that. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just handling keys and checking IDs and looking at fuel gauges. But it keeps us busy. We like the pace of it. If you're looking for us, we’re just another spot in the middle of this big city, trying to keep the wheels turning for everyone who needs a ride. It keeps the days moving along quite nicely for us.
