Thomas Cook (I) Limited

Our Thomas Cook (I) Limited branch is located at M 55 in Ashiana Colony, which is along Kanpur Road in Lucknow. It is a nice residential area and our office is basically a converted house. This gives it a much more relaxed feeling than being in a big commercial mall or a high-rise. We spend our days helping people with their travel plans and exchanging currency. You hear a lot of interesting stories about where people are going and why. Some are going on their first big trip abroad, while others are just visiting family. We have a few desks and some chairs for people to sit on while they wait. The air conditioning is a bit old and makes a humming noise, but it keeps the Lucknow heat away. We have a small team here, and we’ve all been together for several years. We know which local shop has the best samosas for our evening snack. The road outside can get very loud with the traffic going towards the airport, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of typing and phone calls. We don't have any big posters or flashy displays. It’s just a simple office where we try to be as helpful as we can. We like the neighborhood feel of being in Ashiana Colony. It makes the workday feel a bit shorter when you’re in a comfortable, familiar place like this.
