The Yellow Chilli

We are tucked away in Ashoka Apartments, right in the middle of New Delhi. Being over here at B-39 is quite nice because it feels a bit more like a home than a big sterile commercial building. The Yellow Chilli name is something people recognize, but for us, it is just where we come to work every morning. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen or making sure the dining area looks decent for whoever walks in. It gets pretty lively during the lunch and dinner rushes. You can usually hear the sounds of plates clinking and people talking from the hallway. We have been in this Delhi 110085 area for some time. It is a good spot because people from the nearby flats come by often. We do not have a big fancy lobby with marble floors, just a regular place where the food is the main focus. Some days the delivery guys are constantly coming and going, which keeps us on our toes. We have a small staff and we all know each other pretty well. It is a lot of hard work, honestly. Standing on your feet all day isn’t easy, but seeing someone enjoy their meal makes it feel alright. We are just local people cooking for other local people, trying to keep things simple and tasty without too much fuss or extra noise about it.
