The Trident - Hilton

We are based at E-2 Safderjung Staff Quarters in West Kidwai Nagar. It’s an interesting spot for The Trident - Hilton because it’s tucked into a residential staff area rather than being in a big hotel building. New Delhi can be a lot to handle, but this little pocket of Kidwai Nagar is a bit more manageable, even if the traffic nearby is always a nightmare. The quarters aren’t anything fancy. They are just functional buildings where people live and work. We have a small office space here where we handle the behind-the-scenes stuff that most guests never see. It’s often quite busy with people coming and going, talking about schedules or maintenance issues. We’ve got a small kettle for tea and a stack of notebooks that never seems to get smaller. The walls are a plain off-white and there’s a big calendar where we mark everything down. It feels more like a community center than a corporate office sometimes. We know the people living in the other units, and we see the same faces every morning at the gate. It’s a very practical way to work. We don't spend money on expensive decor because we’d rather just get the job done and keep things organized. It’s honest work in a real part of the city, and that’s just how we like it. There’s no point in making it more complicated than it needs to be for the staff.
