The Travel Co.

The Travel Co. is located right near the girls' school in Munirka Village. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the kids are heading to class. We are opposite JNU, so we see a lot of students and researchers passing by all day. Our address at 352 E/C is easy to find if you know the area, but visitors sometimes get lost in the narrow lanes of New Delhi. The office itself is small. We’ve got maps on the walls and a couple of computers that are always humming. It gets quite cramped when more than three people come in at once. We handle a lot of different things, from bus tickets to international flights. Since we are so close to the university, we hear a lot of interesting stories from people traveling for their studies or field work. It’s not a polished corporate environment. There might be a stray cat wandering near the door or the smell of food from the nearby stalls. We don’t spend money on big posters or slogans. We just focus on getting the bookings done correctly so people can get where they need to go. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink chai, while other days everyone wants to travel at the same time and it gets a bit chaotic. We’ve been in this part of Munirka for a long time, so we feel like part of the neighborhood now.
