The Star Grand Villa

Working at The Star Grand Villa in East of Kailash means every day is a little bit different. We are located at E-8, and it's a building that has seen a lot of guests over the years. It is a villa, so it feels more like a house than a big hotel. We spend a lot of time checking the linens and making sure the kitchen has enough supplies for the morning. New Delhi can be a tough city, but our corner here is relatively settled, though the traffic nearby never really stops. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing fancy scripts for us. We just answer the door when the bell rings and show people where they will be sleeping. Sometimes the plumbing needs a bit of work, or a lightbulb needs changing, and we just handle it ourselves. The rooms are basic and clean, which is what most people are looking for anyway. We sit around the small reception area and chat with whoever walks in. It is a small operation, just a few staff members who have been together for a long time. We know the local shops where we can get the best prices on soap and tea leaves. It is honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like anything more than what it is. It's just a place to stay.
