The Radisson

We are over in Saket, right in the middle of all the noise in New Delhi. Most people know The Radisson as a big name they see on signs, but inside these walls, it is just us working to keep everything running. It gets pretty loud and busy around here, which is just how Delhi is most of the time. We spend a lot of our shift making sure the rooms are tidy and the lobby does not look like a mess after a big group comes through the doors. It is a lot of walking back and forth on the carpets. Some of us have been working here for years, while others are just starting out and learning the layout. We do not really do those long speeches about corporate excellence; we just want to make sure the lights are on and people have what they need when they arrive. The traffic outside in Saket can be a real headache, especially during the rush hour, so we see a lot of tired faces walking in. We try to be helpful without being over the top about it. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit frantic during dinner, and other times it is just the hum of the air conditioning filling the halls. It is a job, like any other, but we take it seriously because it is our neighborhood. We are not looking to win any prizes, just trying to get through the day without too many hiccups.
