The Palms Hotel Mumbai

Even though our name says Mumbai, you will find us way over on Station Road in Nakachari, Mariani. That’s in the Jorhat district of Assam. It’s a long way from the big city, and life here is much slower. We are right near the railway station, so we see a lot of people passing through on the trains. The Palms Hotel isn't a massive resort with a swimming pool. It’s a local place where travelers can stop and rest. The building is simple, and the rooms are just basic. We have a few staff members who speak the local language and help out with whatever is needed. The station road is always active with tea stalls and small shops. You can hear the train whistles all through the night. We don't have a fancy website or a booking app that works perfectly. Most people just walk in or call us up. We serve simple food and try to keep the sheets clean. It’s a humble business in a small town. We aren't trying to compete with the big hotels in the metro cities. We just provide a spot for people to stay while they are in Jorhat. It’s practical, honest, and very local. We’ve been part of this community for years. People know us as a reliable spot to sleep for a night or two.
