The Oberoi

You can find us here at The Oberoi, over at House Number B-4, near the Co-Operative Sugar Mill in Paniar, Gurdaspur. It’s a bit of a different setting for a name like ours, being out here in Punjab near the mill. We aren't a giant luxury tower; this is more of a local outpost or office where we handle specific bits of business. The area around here is pretty quiet compared to the big cities, mostly dominated by the mill and the local farming community. We’ve got a small group working in this house, taking care of the day-to-day tasks that keep things moving. It’s a simple building with just the basics needed to get the job done. We spend a lot of time talking to local suppliers and managing the logistics for the region. It’s not a fast-paced environment with a hundred employees, just a few of us making sure everything is in order. We know the people around Paniar and we like being part of the community here. Sometimes the weather gets really hot or the roads get dusty, but we just carry on with the work. We don't have any fancy lobbies or fountains here, just desks and chairs and the smell of the mill nearby. It’s honest work and we try to do it right from this little spot in Gurdaspur. It takes a lot of effort to keep things running when you're a bit out of the way, but we don't mind the extra effort.
