The Oberoi New Delhi

The office for The Oberoi New Delhi is over here at E-57 in the MCD Officer S Complex on Minto Road. It is not a very fancy spot if you just look at the building from the outside, but we spend most of our days here. Getting here in the morning takes some time because the traffic around Minto Road gets pretty bad. Most of us just grab a quick tea from the stall nearby before we head up. The walls inside are a bit plain and the paint is peeling a little in the corner by the window, but it does the job. We have our desks lined up and there is always some paper lying around that needs filing. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the complex, so we usually keep the blinds pulled down. Sometimes the elevator acts up, so we end up taking the stairs which is good exercise I guess. People come in and out all day, mostly staff or delivery guys dropping off mail. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the address. It feels like a regular place where people just work and then go home to their families. We have been at this spot for a while now and the neighbors know us. It is just a practical space to get things done without any fuss or extra noise from the main road.
