We are located at 201-A, Pocket-A, in Mayur Vihar Phase-II, which is a busy little corner of Delhi-91. It is not the main hotel site that most people think of, but it is where a lot of our background work happens. The office is quite small and filled with a lot of filing cabinets and old desks that have been here for years. We do not have any fancy furniture or a big lobby for guests. It is mostly just us handling the paperwork and making sure the records are kept in order. The street outside is usually full of parked cars and delivery bikes, so it can be a bit of a squeeze to get into the building. We start our day early with a cup of tea and a look at the logs. Most of the staff has been here for a long time, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We don't really talk about big goals or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day, like sorting out the schedules or checking the inventory lists. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in this area. We like the local shops nearby because they have the best snacks for our afternoon break. It is a simple place to work, and we just try to get things done without making too much of a fuss. The walls could use a bit of paint, but it feels like a real place where work happens.
