The Oberoi New Delhi

You might find it a bit unexpected, but The Oberoi New Delhi has a presence at Q.No Satluj 11A in Gandhigram, Andhra Pradesh. This isn’t the big hotel building you might be thinking of. It’s a much quieter setup, located in a residential style quarter. The air here is different from the city; it’s more still, and you can hear the birds in the morning. We work out of this small space, and it feels more like a home than an office. There’s a small garden out front that we try to keep watered, though the Andhra heat makes it a struggle sometimes. Inside, things are pretty basic. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets, and a very old ceiling fan that clicks when it’s on high. We handle specific tasks here that help the larger organization run, but our daily life is very local. We go to the small shops nearby for lunch and know the people living in the other quarters. It’s a slow pace compared to the big city life. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, and we just have to wait it out. There’s no gold leaf or marble here, just plain walls and the sound of the wind through the trees. It’s a practical place where we just get our specific jobs finished.
