The Mobile Store, New Delhi

We are located at 84-86 Mirdard Road. It’s right behind Pant Hospital in New Delhi. Being near a big hospital means the area is always buzzing with people and cars. There are always folks walking around at all hours. The Mobile Store is a place where we deal with all sorts of phone issues every single day. We sell them, we fix them, and we talk about them with anyone who walks in. The shop isn't huge or fancy. We have glass counters filled with different models and a cluttered workbench in the back where the repairs happen. It’s often messy with screwdrivers and tiny little parts scattered around. We don't have a corporate uniform or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. Most of our customers are locals or people visiting the hospital who broke their phone screen or ran out of balance. We see a lot of frustrated people, so we try to be quick with the repairs. The noise from the main road is constant and you can hear the horns all day. We have a small ceiling fan that rattles while it spins. It’s not the most peaceful place to work, but we are used to the chaos. We don't put on a show for anyone. If a phone is dead and can't be fixed, we just tell you straight. We've been on Mirdard Road for a good while now.
