About The Metropolitan Hotel Nikko New Delhi (Sakura) – Tourism in Delhi
I help run the Sakura part of The Metropolitan Hotel Nikko New Delhi, though our main office or contact point is here at C-2/B Paryavaran Complex near Said-Ula-Job. This isn't the fancy hotel restaurant with the nice plates and the quiet music. This is the place where the real work happens behind the scenes. We spend our time here organizing things, checking on orders, and making sure everything is ready for the restaurant. The complex is a bit of a maze, but we’ve made our office comfortable enough. We’ve got some old chairs and a couple of big tables where we spread out all our papers. It’s not a glamorous part of the hotel business, but it’s necessary. We are a small group of people who have been with the hotel for a long time. We know how things should run and we just get on with it. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We don't do any big promotions from this office. We just make sure the back-end stuff is handled so the guests at the hotel have a good experience. It’s a practical way to spend the day, and we like the quiet of the Paryavaran Complex compared to the city.
