The Lalit(Inter Continental The Lalit New Delhi)

Being located near Mayur Vihar Phase 1 means we see a lot of the hustle that Delhi is famous for. The Lalit is situated right where people are always on the move and we are right there in the middle of it. Our days usually start pretty early with a lot of checking in and out. There is always a lot of laundry to handle and the kitchen is usually noisy from five in the morning until late at night. We have been in this part of Delhi for quite some time now and we’ve seen the neighborhood grow and change. It gets really busy during the wedding season and that is when things get truly hectic for everyone working here. We don't really have time for anything except getting the jobs done as they come. If a guest needs something we just go and get it. It is a big building and we do a lot of walking every single shift. The staff knows the area well enough to tell you which bridge to avoid if you’re in a hurry. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just run a hotel and deal with the hundreds of little things that go wrong or right every day. It’s a lot of manual work and staying on your feet but that is just how it goes in the hospitality business in a city like this.
