The Kitchen Rest As A Captain

I am Sundeep Kumar and I work as a Captain at The Kitchen Rest. Our place is located at 1555 on the 3rd Floor in Tula Nagar, which is part of the Kotla Mubarakpur area in New Delhi. The pin code is 110003. Being on the 3rd floor means there are a lot of stairs to climb every single day, which keeps the staff very busy. Tula Nagar is a very packed neighborhood and Kotla Mubarakpur is known for its narrow lanes and lots of small shops selling all kinds of things. At The Kitchen Rest, I handle the floor as a Captain, making sure the orders are right and the staff knows what they are doing during the rush. It is a small place but we stay busy, especially in the evenings when people are coming home from work. The kitchen can get quite hot and the 3rd-floor location means we have to be very careful about how we bring all our supplies and groceries up. We have been at 1555 for some time now and it feels like home. It is not a luxury dining spot; it is a real kitchen where we focus on the food and the service for the people who visit. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the backup, which is just part of living and working in this part of Delhi. We see a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood who come by for a meal or some tea.
