Kalkaji is a funny place sometimes. Our spot is in the DDA flats, L-1/2- B to be exact. If you’ve ever tried parking a car in Kalkaji, you already know the struggle we deal with every morning. We’ve been here at The Imperial for a good bit now. It’s not like those fancy glass offices you see in South Extension or over in Gurgaon. It’s much more lived-in and real. We have neighbors in the surrounding flats who have lived here for thirty years. You hear the vegetable sellers calling out in the morning and the kids playing in the park area in the evenings. The office inside is just desks and chairs and a lot of paper stacked up. We don't have a fancy lobby or a fountain or anything like that. People usually just drop by if they need to talk to us about something. The address is a bit of a mouthful when you have to tell people over the phone, especially with the DDA part. New Delhi - 19 is our little corner of the world. We spend most of our time just answering phones and dealing with whatever the day brings our way. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It’s a very local way of doing things. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a small team in a flat trying to stay on top of the work.
