The Imperial

You can find us in Janakpuri at Flat No. 48B in Block C-5/D. It’s a regular residential block in New Delhi and we have set up our space inside one of the flats. The Imperial isn't a huge hotel-style place even if the name sounds a bit big. It’s just us working out of this apartment. We have transformed the main room into a workspace. The kitchen is mostly for making tea and keeping our lunch boxes cool. Living and working in the same area means we know the neighbors well. You can hear the sounds of the colony throughout the day like the vegetable sellers calling out or kids coming home from school. It’s a very local vibe here. The address 110058 is easy enough for the delivery guys to find. We have some shelves lined with folders and a couple of printers that hum while they work. The floor is tiled and stays cool even when it’s baking outside in the Delhi heat. We usually have the curtains drawn to keep the sun out during the afternoon. It is an honest way to work and we don't feel the need for a fancy glass office. Everything we need is right here in these few rooms. We just go about our day and try to get things sorted before the weekend comes around. It’s a quiet but steady kind of life for us here.
