The Imperial New Delhi

We’ve been here in West Patel Nagar for a while now, up on the first floor at 35/21. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when you come up to see us. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, and there is always something going on outside on the street. You can hear the traffic and people shouting most of the day. Our space isn't huge, just a few desks and some chairs, but it works for what we do. Usually, we start the morning with some tea from the shop downstairs. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the backup. Most people who live around here know where we are because we’ve stayed in the same spot for quite some time. It’s not fancy or anything like the big offices you see in Gurgaon. We just keep our files organized and try to get through the paperwork without making mistakes. The windows look out over the market area, and it gets pretty dusty if we leave them open for too long. We like it here though because everything we need is close by. If we need a quick snack or some pens, we just walk a few doors down. It feels like a real neighborhood office. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big signs or shiny floors. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families at the end of the day.
