The Grand

We are located at L-183 in Mahipalpur, New Delhi. If you know the area, you know it's very close to the airport. This means we get a lot of people who are just staying for a night before a flight or coming in late. The building is a bit tucked away, and the streets around here are always narrow and busy. Inside, it’s a regular hotel setup. We have a small lobby and rooms upstairs. It’s not like those five-star places with gold ceilings. It’s more practical than that. Our staff stays busy with check-ins and check-outs at all hours of the night. We spend a lot of time changing sheets and making sure the bathrooms are okay for the next person. The noise from the planes can be heard if you listen closely, but most people are too tired to notice. We have a small kitchen where we make basic breakfast and tea for the guests. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble, or the Wi-Fi acts up, and we have to apologize and try to fix it quickly. It's a family-run kind of feel here. We aren't corporate people in suits. We just wear our regular clothes and help guests with their bags when they arrive. Mahipalpur is a dusty area, so we are always cleaning the front entrance. It's a simple business for travelers needing a bed.
