The Grand (New Delhi)

Even though our name mentions New Delhi, you will actually find us up in Shimla at Baikunth Niwas. We are in the Tuti Kandi area, which has a very different feel from the crowded streets down in the plains. The air is thinner here and the mornings are usually quite cold, even in the summer months. Our place is built on a bit of a slope, like most things in Himachal. We have been running things from here for a while. The address is Pin-171004 if you are looking it up on a map. We spend our days looking out at the hills when we aren't busy with the paperwork and phone calls. It’s a slower pace of life compared to the capital. We handle a lot of coordination and guest inquiries from this office. The building has that typical mountain look with the roof and the stone work. Sometimes the monkeys come by the windows and we have to make sure everything is shut tight so they don't get in. It is a bit of a climb to get to certain parts of the property, but the views are worth the effort. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how to manage the daily tasks. We drink a lot of hot tea to stay warm when the fog rolls in. It is a simple life here in Tuti Kandi, far away from the New Delhi noise.
