The Grand Hotel

We are located at House Number 1318 in Sector 4, R K Puram. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads of New Delhi. We have been running things from this building for a while now. It’s a standard house that we’ve converted to fit our needs. We handle the rooms and look after the guests who come through for work or travel. It’s not a massive skyscraper hotel with hundreds of rooms. It feels more like a home, which is what some people prefer when they are away. We spend our mornings checking the laundry and making sure the kitchen has what it needs for the morning meals. The staff here are mostly local guys who have been with us for many years. We don't have a big fancy lobby with fountains or chandeliers. We just have a desk and some comfortable chairs where people can sit while they wait to check in. Sometimes the power goes out in the sector and we have to switch over to the generator, which makes a bit of noise. We try to keep the place tidy, though the monkeys from the trees nearby sometimes cause a bit of a mess in the garden. It’s a simple operation. We just want people to have a place to sleep that isn't too complicated or loud. It’s a steady job and we like meeting everyone.
