The Gateway Hotel,Agra

Even though the name says Agra, we are actually located at 10/3, Rahi Nagar, over in Firozabad. It’s a bit of a different setup than what some people might expect. We have been here for a bit, handling the daily operations of a hospitality business in a busy part of Uttar Pradesh. The building is simple and we don't go in for much decoration. Most of our time is spent making sure the rooms are ready and that the staff knows what they are doing for the day. It’s a lot of logistics, like making sure we have enough supplies and that the kitchen is running okay. Firozabad can be a busy place, and Rahi Nagar has its own rhythm that we’ve become a part of. We see a lot of different people coming through, some for work and some just traveling. We don't have a massive marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on people finding us and staying for a night or two. Sometimes things break or we have a busy weekend where everyone is working extra hours, but that is just how the hotel business works. We are just a local team trying to provide a place for people to stay without any of the extra fuss you might find at bigger chains. It’s straightforward work and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the rooms are clean and the guests are satisfied with their stay.
