The Claridges

The Claridges is located at house number 504 on Street number 5 in Old Mustfabad, Delhi. Even though the name sounds like one of those fancy places you see in the magazines, we are just a small local operation in a very old part of the city. The streets around here are quite narrow and you have to be careful when you are walking so you don't get hit by a rickshaw. We have been in this house for a long time. The office is just a couple of rooms on the first floor. We have an old ceiling fan that squeaks a bit when it is on high, but it does the job. Most of our neighbors are families who have lived here for generations. We don't really have many walk-in customers from outside the area because it is hard to find us if you don't know the street numbers. We spend our days handling various paperwork and keeping track of the local business we do. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, and it is always interesting to see what is happening outside. We usually get our lunch from the small shop downstairs that makes good samosas. It is a very humble setup, and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. We just work hard and try to stay organized in the middle of all the city noise. It is just our little corner of Delhi for now.
