The Claridges Surajkund

We've been at this spot in Saharanpur for a while now, tucked away in Moholla Qaziyaan on Mutribban Street. It is actually part of Gayyur-E-Alam’s office setup, right there in the heart of the local area. If you know the neighborhood, it’s not hard to find, though the streets get quite narrow and busy during the middle of the day. We handle things for The Claridges Surajkund from here. It isn't a fancy glass building or anything like that. Just a regular space where we get the daily work done. Some days it is quiet, other days there is a lot of noise coming from the street outside. We have a few desks and some files piled up. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but that's just how it is around here and we just wait for it to come back. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. People walk by, neighbors stop to say hello, and we keep moving through our tasks. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders because we are usually too busy with the paperwork and phone calls. It gets quite hot in the summers, so the fans are always running. We’ve been here long enough that the local tea seller knows exactly how we like our drinks. It’s just us doing what we need to do. Nothing more to it than that, really. Just a local office in a familiar part of town.
