You can find us at 143 Hari Nagar Ashram, right near the post office in Jangpura. Being so close to the post office means there is always a lot of movement outside our doors, with people rushing to mail letters or pick up packages. Our building is a bit older, so the walls have a few scuffs here and there, and the door sometimes squeaks when you open it. We spend most of our time managing the space and making sure the common areas are clean for whoever walks in. The ceiling fans stay on for most of the year because it gets quite stuffy inside when the Delhi heat kicks in. We have a small area where we keep some drinking water and a few plastic cups for guests. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us making sure everything runs smoothly from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the internet goes out when there’s a storm, and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back while we talk about our weekend plans. The neighborhood is full of small shops and people selling snacks on the corner, so it never feels lonely. We’ve got a small calendar on the wall where we mark down the days, and it’s usually filled with scribbles about maintenance or deliveries. It’s a practical place for us to work, and we’ve grown quite fond of the chaos of the Ashram area.
