The Amritsar Transport Co Pvt Ltd is tucked away here in Vikaspuri, specifically at JG-II-160. If you know this part of New Delhi, you know it gets quite crowded around here. We’ve been operating from this spot for some time now and the walls are starting to show their age a bit. Transport is a messy business, to be honest. There’s always someone calling about a truck or a delivery that’s stuck somewhere in traffic. We spend a lot of time on our mobile phones or looking at dusty ledgers. Our office isn't one of those glass buildings you see in the movies. It’s a practical space where we can sit down and figure out the logistics for the day. Delhi 110018 is a busy pin code. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice a day, and those are the best parts of the afternoon. We have a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise but they keep us cool enough when the Delhi heat gets bad. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do.
