Tele Caller is based out of a small place at 1B/93, Ramesh Nagar in New Delhi-15. It’s a busy neighborhood and our little office fits right in. We aren't a big fancy call center with hundreds of people in a glass tower. It’s just a small group of us with our headsets and a list of numbers to go through. The room can get pretty noisy when everyone is talking at the same time. We have to speak up to be heard over each other sometimes, which can be a bit tiring by the end of the shift. We do a lot of different types of calling, mostly just following up on things or checking in with people to see if they need help. It’s repetitive work, but we try to keep a positive attitude about it. The office is very simple—just some tables, plastic chairs, and our phones. We don’t even have a big sign outside. Ramesh Nagar is a good spot because it’s easy to get to using the metro or the bus. We take our breaks at the local tea stalls nearby. Sometimes people are happy to talk to us on the phone, and sometimes they just hang up, but that is just how this job goes. We don't take it personally. We just keep dialing and moving to the next person on the list. It’s how we keep the business running and pay the bills every month.
