So, I’m based here in Bangalore and things are always a bit chaotic with the traffic and everything else going on in the city. Working as a teacher means my days start way before the sun is really up most of the time. I spend a lot of time at my desk just trying to get the lesson plans right or grading papers that seem to never end. The classroom is where everything happens, but the prep work is what takes up all the quiet hours. It’s not a glamorous life or anything, just a lot of talking and explaining things until the kids finally get it. Sometimes the fans in the room make more noise than the students, and you just have to work with that. Bangalore weather is usually nice, so that helps when you’re walking between buildings or just trying to stay awake after a long afternoon session. I don’t really have any big fancy speeches about it. It’s just about showing up and making sure the information gets across. People think it’s just about holidays and short hours, but they don’t see the late nights with the books open and the tea getting cold. It’s just me doing my bit in this big, busy city, trying to help out where I can. It’s practical work, and at the end of the day, you just hope someone learned something they didn't know when they walked in. That is really all there is to it.
