Our office is located at K-126 in Naresh Park, which is part of the Nangloi area in Delhi, zip code 110041. We’re tucked away in a spot looked after by Munna Lal. This is a real working-class part of the city. We handle road transport, so we’re used to the grit and the noise of the trucking world. The office isn't much more than a room with a few chairs and a telephone that never stops ringing. We have a lot of maps and old schedules pinned to the walls. It’s a bit messy with all the paperwork, but we know where everything is. We spend our time talking to drivers and making sure the loads are secured and ready to go. Nangloi is quite far out from the center of Delhi, so it feels a bit different here. There’s more space, but it’s still very busy. We don’t wear uniforms or anything like that. It’s just regular shirts and trousers. We take our tea from a guy who brings it around in a kettle twice a day. It’s the best part of the afternoon. We don’t have a website or a social media page. Most of our work comes from people we’ve known for twenty years. It’s all about trust and showing up when you say you will. We just keep our heads down and manage the transport lines as best as we can.
