Taj

We are located at 11/B Stertche Road in the Vasant Vihar area of Allahabad. This building has been part of the neighborhood for a long time. We aren't one of those new, shiny hotels that look like they belong in a different city. Our place has character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint here and there. We spend our days making sure the rooms are ready and the guests are comfortable. It is a lot of hard work, mostly cleaning and fixing things that break. Allahabad is a city with a lot of history, and we feel like we are a small part of that on Stertche Road. The staff here is like a family. Most of us have lived in Allahabad our whole lives. We don't have a big handbook on how to talk to people; we just treat everyone who walks through the door like a neighbor. Vasant Vihar is a good spot because it is away from the loudest parts of the city but still easy to get to. We don't do a lot of advertising. Most people find us because someone else told them we were a reliable place to stay. We just keep the lights on and make sure there is plenty of tea and water for everyone. It is a simple life and a simple business, and that is how we like it.
