Taj Sats Air Catering L.T.D., New Delhi is based at A 115 on the ground floor in Fateh Nagar. This is the place where we manage all the food that goes out to the planes at the airport. It is a very busy environment because airplanes don’t wait for anyone. We have to be very careful with our timing. The ground floor is always full of action, with people moving crates and trucks pulling up to the doors. Fateh Nagar is a crowded area, so sometimes getting the vehicles in and out is a bit of a challenge. We have people working here at all hours of the day and night because flights are always taking off. It’s not a quiet place at all. It usually smells like whatever we are cooking that day. We have to follow many strict rules about how food is handled and stored to make sure everything is right. The summer heat in New Delhi makes the work even harder, but we have our systems in place. We are just a group of regular people working hard to make sure passengers get their meals. We aren't doing anything fancy or corporate, just keeping the kitchen and the logistics moving. It’s a tough job but it’s what we do here in Fateh Nagar. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next delivery.
